Rotaract District 5280 Programs
Our Rotaract Programs are aimed to enrich the lives of our district membership and give way to fellowship through service. Every program should be based on the following goals of Rotaract.
Goals of Rotaract
- To develop professional and leadership skills;
- To emphasize respect for the rights of others, and to promote ethical standards and the dignity of all useful occupations;
- To provide opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns of the community and our world;
- To provide opportunities for working in cooperation with sponsoring Rotary clubs;
- To motivate young people for eventual membership in Rotary.
PRLS
Potential Rotary Leaders Seminar (PRLS) acts as an opportunity to improve speaking and leadership skill applicable to Rotary and Rotaract, but more importantly our desire to be leaders in life. These events are held annually in according to the Rotary District Calendar and remain free for all Rotaractors and Interactors.
Rotaract Assembly
Training, Simulation, and Discussion with a little Rotaract District 5280 secret ingredient, FUN! This event brings together past Rotaract Governors and a host of focus Rotaract leadership from across the District training our club members.
Training decks
From Club operation to leadership we’ve development training on what and how Rotaract in District 5280 can, will, and should be. Together club leadership, members, and Rotarian build training decks as to lead the way in club and member development.
Mentorship Program
Great leaders are built on the thoughts of wise ones! We invite Rotarians in our district to become mentor to our Rotaractors as to provide insight to career and vocational activities
Requirements
- Members in good standing
- Club + officers have been supportive in the district activities
- Participated in at least 3 club activities
Rotary and Rotaract Together
We encourage Rotaractors to visit their sponsoring Rotary Club and mingle as to understand Rotary plans, operations, and successes. It is communicated to Rotary and Rotaract Clubs that a recommended 4 (four) hours of community service would give one free lunch for a Rotaractor at Rotary sponsoring club.
Professional Business Seminar
Leaders in the workplace, the Rotaractors of district 5280 are focus on service and vocational through the eyes of Rotary and other Business leaders. This program builds a strong based for college and newly career established Rotaractors.
